I tried it with the 13" and it does detect them so it definitely looks like somethings screwed up with USB on this thing. I did try and side step the problem by using Ultimate Boot CD with Grub2 but it wont even detect the disks (only the internal). You then drag the QuickTime or MPEG-1 movie file onto the Toast window or use the Select button to find the movie file. Resolved issue where malformed video files may cause Video Player. As the release notes for Toast Titanium 10.0.2 indicate, Roxio was able to resolve a crash issue that could have occurred with some FLAC audio files, and an issue when converting QuickTime movies. In the main Toast window, you click on Other and select Video CD, MP3 Disc, or DVD from the pop-up menu. Resolved issue where malformed MP4 file may cause Toast to crash. It always crashes after about an hour or so into the burn. It says its an apple problem blah blah blah. Toast will now correctly growl with support for Growl 1.3.x from Mac App Store. The Mac (or EFI) then decides its ready to boot the selected OS. The problem is that as soon as you try and boot from either of them the USB ports seem to shut down causing the external disk to spin down. I have one with Windows 7 and one with Ubuntu. Unfortunately, Toast Titanium does not appear to be as reliable as it once was, based on some of the recent reviews. Now I want to go beyond macOS Mojave to Catalina (or Big Sir) which requires 64-bit applications. I’ve been using Toast Titanium 14.2 for a very long time (4 stars), and it’s done everything I need to do … except the occasional need to use DVDRemaster to compress a VIDEO_TS folder down to 4.5 GB to fit on a standard DVD before burning with Toast (which otherwise says the file appears to be corrupted).
